Webmail Access

  • Sunday, 03 February 2013 20:21

Webmail access is available on every website.

For sites built after April 1, 2011 use the Cloud Server address.  Prior to that use the Shared Server address.

Cloud Servers: http://webmail.yourdomain.com

Shared Servers: http://mail.yourdomain.com

If you are using IMAP, your received and sent email will be accssible in your webmail.

If you are using POP3, the emails accessible in your email may vary from nothing to the amount of emails you received over the last x number of days.  If you have zero emails it is likely that your computer email client (like Outlook) is removing emails from the server on download.  If you have a few but not a lot, your email client is likely set to leave email on the server for x number of days before deleting.

Resetting Email Password

Email passwords can be changed via webmail.  Below is the process for changing email passwords on Cloud Servers.

Log into webmail using the address above.

Click on Settings in the upper right of your webmail.

On the settings screen, click on Change Password on the left.

Email Setup for Android

  • Tuesday, 04 December 2012 01:26

The following article will get your Fritschle Communications email account setup on your Android device using an IMAP or POP connection.  I recommend using IMAP.

What is IMAP?

IMAP is an E-mail protocol that is used when people wish to always have their messages, including sent messages and message folders, saved on the server. Depending on program configuration, these messages may be temporarily saved on the computer for offline viewing. All messages and folders can be viewed from any computer connecting via IMAP, including Webmail. This option is most recommended for users who connect to E-mail accounts from many computers.

What is POP
POP, also known as POP3, is an E-mail protocol that is used when people wish to have a copy of their E-mail messages, along with any attachments, to be downloaded to their computer for viewing. Depending on program configuration, these messages may be automatically deleted from the server once it is received, or at some future time. Messages sent, moved, or deleted from a computer using POP can only be viewed on that individual computer's folders. They cannot be viewed on other computers connecting to that E-mail account, including Webmail. This option is most recommended for users who like to keep a backup of all their messages.

Let's take a look at the steps below on how to configure your account:

1. From the home screen on your device, tap the Settings icon.

2. Next, in the Incoming Settings section select IMAP from the drop down menu and enter your email address, username, and password. In the IMAP server field, enter "secure.emailsrvr.com" and be sure that SSL is selected and 993 is the server port.

Note:  If using POP3, select POP3 in account type, then use mail.yourdomain.com for both the incoming and outgoing servers.

3. Next, in the Outgoing Server Settings section, in the SMTP server field, enter "secure.emailsrvr.com" and be sure that SSL is selected and 465 is the server port.
